Kennedy® Welding Helmets

The Kennedy® Jet Black Auto-X™ welding helmet automatically protects the operator from eye injuries, caused by weld arc and also leave both hands free when welding. The helmet is equipped with two photo sensors that sense arc light, these automatically switch the filter from shade 4 (transparent prior to welding to enable the operator to observe the work piece clearly) as soon as the Arc is struck the filter darkens automatically with immediate effect to the to pre-selected shade 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, or 13. When the arc goes out, the filter will become transparent again.

The switching time from light to dark is approximately 0.0001 seconds, and the switching time from dark to light can be set at between 0.1 - 0.6 second.

The Kennedy® Jet Black Auto-X™ mask provides complete protection against UV/IR to DIN15 even in transparent mode and is dual powered by 2 lithium batteries and a solar panel with two sets of photo sensors to sense arc light. The outer shell of the helmet is manufactured from a high polymer thermostable material that is spatter resistant to ensure a long service life.
