The Mitutoyo 500-196-20 ABSolute Digimatic Caliper has a large easy to read LCD display with Quadri design four way measurement feature that allows internal, external, height and step measurements to be taken with one caliper. Inch/metric conversion can be displayed at the touch of a button. An ABSolute scale only needs the origin measurement point (zero) to be set once, the intelligent memory retains this setting, no matter how many times the caliper is switched off, the caliper holds this point until either the battery is removed or the origin point is reset. Incremental measurements can be made at any time without losing the origin setting. No overspeed error protection ensures accuracy every time. The caliper features a lock nut that can be tightened to securely hold the jaws at a specific measurement for repetitive quality assurance checking of components.
