Standard Series Torque Multiplier

The 'Standard series' torque multiplier has been designed for the specialist user where it is necessary to provide higher torque than would otherwise be possible due to limitations on space or operator strength. This series employs multiple stage epicyclic gearing to give a wide range of torque outputs and ratios to suit most applications.The torque multiplication is accurate to more than /-4% with a maximum output of 47,500Nm. *Models contain the AWUR 'anti wind up ratchet' mechanism. As with any high ratio gearbox (25:1 or more) a certain amount of wind-up (spring) has to be taken up before any useful tightening work can be applied to the nut. Each time the input device is released, the wind-up will rotate back against the direction of operation.The AWUR mechanism retains all of the wind up forces as they are created locking the multiplier onto the nut being tightened. This means that even when used upside down the multiplier will support it's own weight.
