Iscar® Multi-Master Interchangeable Cutter Head Milling System
Multi-Master™ is a new family of tools from Iscar® with shanks and unique interchangeable heads for a variety of milling applications including ball nose, straight shoulder and slitting and slotting applications. Indexing is fast and convenient due to the threaded connection. Since the tool is not removed from the machine, there is no set up time for head replacement. Multi-Master™ is a high-tech substitute for HSS and solid carbide milling cutters.
This Multi-Master™ system is essential for die and mould production, providing long shank options and a high degree of machining efficiency.

Multi-Master 10mm Diameter Interchangeable End Milling System
The Iscar® Multi-Master™ end milling kit contents a 4 flute rippa and endmill, a 2 flute ball nose and a 2 flute chamfer head and 4 flute ball nose interchangeable carbide cutter head and mounting shank this unique interchangeable cutting head tooling system will provide the following features and benefits:
Unique threaded carbide cutter heads, screw into the shank reducing replacement and set up times significantly as the tool can be changed in situ on the machine without removing it from the holder.
Accurate replacement of heads, ground location faces on both the cutter head and the holder. (The milling head can be replaced to within 10 microns.)
Carbide grades: the cutter heads are produced in the latest sub-micro PVD coated grades designed to provide excellent tool life and superior performance over a wide range of applications and materials.
Excellent repeatability is now possible and re-sharpening of tools is no longer needed. Iscar® MULTI-MASTER™ milling heads feature advanced pressed geometries with sharp-ground cutting edges.
Each end milling head is manufactured from Iscar® carbide grade IC908* enabling high speed machining with excellent toughness and wear resistance.

A tough sub micron substrate, TiALN PVD coated grade.
Designed for machining heat resistant alloys, austenitic stainless steel, hard alloys and carbon steel at medium to high cutting speeds, interrupted cut and unfavourable conditions. Excellent notch wear and built up edge resistance.

A large variety of interchangeable cutting heads are now available, standard square end, ball nosed, spherical, chamfer, countersinking, feed mill, toroidal, shred heads, drill spotting and external radii. These are available in ground and sintered style heads. There is also a complete range of grooving cutters to cover DIN standard circlip and ’o’ ring grooves.
Mounting shanks, are available in steel, dense metal and solid carbide to provide the end user with a range of anti-vibration properties to enable the system to be used on a varied range of applications from aerospace, die and mould, driven tool applications on lathes, including sliding head machines to general engineering work.
