Well it was that time of the year again... the annual fishing match. The day started early for me now being a pensioner, I had forgotten what 5.30 looked like but I was not the only one to get up early. Greg Gosling and the contingent from Cromwell Norwich were a lot earlier than myself. Still by 7.00 the car park at the Bulls Head was full and then the work started I had volunteered as usual I didn’t know what I had let myself in for! Trying to work a laptop when you are half asleep is definitely not good but with the help of Sharon Pollard, Yvonne and Alan Wicks and Alan Maxted everything was entered onto the computer and all the money counted. The day was mostly fine sunshine but there were two horrendous showers. The amount of fish caught by one person was the highest ever over 94lbs and the total number of fishermen was 102 a great day was had by all! This year there were new tenants a the Bulls Head and I must thank Chris and John Mortiboys (no relation to Gary) for the welcome and the fine food. The total money raised on the day was over £3,500!!

We also have had £1,500 from Cromwell Doncaster and Cromwell Sheffield raised £400 at their Golf Day.

Cromwell Luton had a corporate Go Karting event at which one of our customers ITT Jabsco sports and social club presented us with a cheque for £80 many thanks to them for that.

On Friday 8th June we held a "surprise" presentation for Shaun Burke (right) our Cromwell Thailand Branch Manager and South East Asia representative. He and all our overseas representatives were visiting Head Office when the surprise was sprung. We have had a Golden Retriever called "Chrisy" named for him this is the first time any of our overseas representatives have had a dog named in their honour. (Also see the "Cromwell Thailand" article right).

All in all, a pretty fantastic few months, with lots of money being raised, a huge "WELL DONE" to everyone concerned!
