Cromwell granted ROYAL WARRANT

For many years we have been supplying Royal Estates with various products and services and we are now proud to announce that as at January 2012 Cromwell have been granted a Royal Warrant as "Purveyor of Industrial Supplies to Her Majesty The Queen"

The unrelenting and daily effort that our people put into achieving the service and quality levels that this requires is seldom acknowledged by the outside World, but it is a fantastic achievement for Cromwell to secure a Royal Warrant and it is a badge of honour that we will wear with pride.

Our customers can take confidence from this award in that we always strive to provide them with exactly the same levels of service and quality as we would the Royal Household.

 


 

Cromwell opens second branch in India

Date: 20th January 2012


Cromwell has continued its overseas expansion establishing a second branch of the business in India. The new operation is based in Chennai and represents our continued commitment to one of the Worlds foremost economies where we have experienced year on year growth of over 71% in the last twelve months.

Of coarse our International success does not end with India and we are seeing unparalled success in a number of markets that we have subsidiaries in such as Australia, China, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ireland, Malaysia, Poland, South Africa and Thailand. We would like to take this opportunity to send our thanks to all of our loyal customers in these markets.

Our International success is given us continued confidence to invest and grow our International Trade alongside the continued investment that we are making in our home UK market. This is evident in a number of areas with us now having our first footprint in Romania and Slovakia, and we have new operations scheduled for later in 2012 (WATCH THIS SPACE FOR FURTHER NEWS).

 


 

Cromwell launches NEW distributor catalogue for 2012

Cromwell is preparing to launch their latest dedicated distributor catalogue for 2012 that has been printed in 98 cover versions, 5 different languages and 10 currencies. This development shows the growing partnership between Cromwell and our partners around the World, and our continued commitment to innovative ways of supporting the sales and marketing activity of those partners.

250,000 copies of the new catalogue that features over 22,000 line items including Cutting Tools, Abrasives & Power Tools, Precision Laboratory Equipment, Workshop Equipment, Hand Tools, Fasteners, Lubricants & Chemicals, Office Supplies & Stationary, Welding and Personal Protection Clothing & Equipment will be available in the market place from January.

Cromwell expands in Australia

Date: 17th July 2011


We are pleased to announce that on the 16th May 2011, agreement was reached for the Cromwell Group to acquire Comag Pty Limited based in Coopers Plains, Brisbane from its shareholder – David Powells.

Comag Pty Limited is a renowned and recognised Company established in 1981, specialising in the sale of machine shop & general engineering products. The acquisition of Comag Pty Limited further confirms Cromwell's commitment to the Australian market with our second location being established which will significantly support our capability to deliver an enhanced service to our valued existing and new customer base in the Queensland area.

Cromwell Enters Rail Sector

Date: 14th - 16th July 2011


CROMRAIL took it's first step into expanding customer awareness of it's capabilities in supplying the Rail Industry by attending the Railtex Exhibition 2011 from 14th to 16th June 2011 at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London. Railtex is firmly established in the Rail Industry as a showcase for technological innovation across all sectors of the supply market.

In addition to the huge range of products and services that Cromwell offers we also had live demonstrations of the ‘Total Inventory & Cost Control System‘, VENDA 365™ which allows a wide variety of users to dispense and track products, tools and components, etc across their organisation with complete accuracy, traceability and total confidence. Cromwell exhibits at PROJEX Qatar

Date: 2nd - 5th May 2011


QAMSCOCromwell in partnership with our established partners QAMSCO recently exhibited at the Project Qatar 2011 exhibition www.projectqatar.com.

In its 8th consecutive year this was one of the region's leading construction events planned for 2011. This highly anticipated show was a perfect platform for Cromwell to demonstrate the high calibre of products and services we can offer Qatar industry, and it gave us a unique opportunity to conduct business and gain further access to a competitive market with the industry's top companies, and professional visitors in one convenient location.

With the planned growth in the contruction sector in Qatar culminating in the developments for the 2022 World Cup, allied to the the positive feedback from customers like Qatar Petroleum Cromwell came away from the exhibition with a renewed sense of purpose, and a determination to maximise the business potential in conjunction with our partners QAMSCO who have continued to support our business and stock in depth to support local industry.

 



Cromwell launches anti-corruption and anti-bribery policy

Cromwell has launched a new anti-corruption and anti-bribery policy in line with landmark UK legislation. The Bribery Act 2010, which comes into force on 1 July 2011, transforms our individual and collective responsibilities in terms of how we conduct our daily business.
It will influence how we purchase goods and services and how we deal with gifts and hospitality, affecting many employees, agents and third-party suppliers.
Cromwell's new anti-corruption and anti-bribery policy will provide detailed guidance on how the new legislation may impact upon all area's of our work.

Cromwell expands it's operation in Uganda

Date: 4th January 2011


Cromwell has appointed Mr Chris Kayondo as their full time representative in Uganda. Chris joins the company having worked for one of our long standing independent partners for many years and the appointment shows our continued commitment to developing business in Uganda and on the African continent generally.

Cromwell's presence in Africa now includes our Regional Hub in South Africa, Sales Representatives permanently based in Uganda and Ethiopia, and Sales Representatives from the UK supporting our partners in countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Mozambique and Kenya to name just a few.

Cromwell wins top awards for international trade

Date: 3rd December 2010


Cromwell won the overall winner of the East Midlands International Business of the Year Award 2010 for increasing global sales by over 35 per cent in over the last year.

The UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) awards held at The Priest House, Castle Donnington recognise companies that have excelled in international trade, demonstrating the importance of exporting for business growth and sustainability. A record of almost 100 companies throughout the region applied for these awards, covering seven categories, and Cromwell secured the Prestigous "Overall Winners Award" in recognition of their achievements and the quality of the products and services they offer their clients.
