We are currently looking for committed, enthusiastic individual to join our team in Leeds. As an integral part of the Management Team the successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing the smooth running and efficiency of the overall sales requirements of the branch. DIVISIONAL SALES MANAGER
Overseeing the overall sales operations allied to the development of the branch customer base to ensure growth and margin targets are met. This will include the daily management of the external sales team, both commercial and technical, ensuring market penetration throughout the branch sales area to ensure that all business opportunities are maximised. Your role will involve personal involvement with both existing and potential key account customers and you must be able to demonstrate excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills. You will also be proficient in presentation techniques. Through performing continuous assessments utilising the sales monitoring systems and procedures, not only will you ensure that those in place are effective and meaningful but you will also ensure that the best possible service is available for our customers at all times. With knowledge of sales forecasting and financial budgeting, you will take an active role in growing our business through effective business planning, ensuring that unnecessary costs are eliminated and budget targets are remained within. You will take a lead role in the recruitment, training and coaching for the External Sales team therefore strong leadership skills are essential to motivate your team to achieve business goals. You must display excellent communication and IT skills, as you will be expected to liaise with both customers and colleagues at all levels. The successful applicant will be self-motivated and outgoing, displaying excellent communication skills whilst preferably possessing natural sales ability. Previous management experience is desirable preferably within industrial distribution or engineering. Knowledge of industry within the Yorkshire region would also be advantageous. A competitive remuneration package will be structured around experience and skills combined with sales and profit based bonuses and company vehicle. Advantageous to live within the branch geographical territory, however relocation would be considered.
