The Opportunity:

 

Due to continued expansion, we have a fantastic opportunity within our new branch in Telford, due to open in October 2010.

 

As a key member of the management team, you will ensure the effective execution of internal operating systems and procedures, and support the Divisional Manager in all aspects of running the branch and influencing the achievement of P&L of the branch

 

Main duties will include:

  • To ensure all internal functions operate effectively, including Warehousing and Logistics, Stock Management, Buying & Progressing, Sales Order, Processes, Reporting and Commerical and financial tasks
  • To ensure that customers receive the appropriate support and service through timely processing of orders, exceptional customer service and up selling of products at all opportunities.
  • To ensure that the complete supply chain is managed from start to finish, ensuring that both internal and external customers are liaised with as required.
  • To ensure that the stock profile is monitored and effectively managed, reflecting product demand and business requirements.
  • To support the Divisional Manager in the recruitment, training, coaching and performance management of staff

 

The Candidate:

  • Previous supervisory / managerial experience gained within an industrial supplies environment is essential.
  • Specific experience gained of Tools, PPE, abrasives would be an advantage.
  • Strong people and relationship building skills
  • Excellent Customer service approach
  • Good business acumen, attention to detail and a proactive, self starter
