Cutting Speeds & Feeds Recommendations:
Cutting data is based on whole depth at three times diameter. Where whole depth is greater, reduce feed figure by 2030%. Where whole depth is between three to five times diameter, step drilling is recommended. EMC drills are self centring therefore a centre drill is not recommended. Cutting fluid is recommended for all applications, for optimum cutting fluid should be in excess of 8 litres per minute.
