PERSONAL FORESTRY FIRST AID KIT

Current Forestry Commission guidelines require Forestry and Chainsaw workers to carry a personal forestry first aid kit. The kit must include a large wound dressing. This is in addition to having access to a more comprehensive First Aid Kit at all times.

HSE Workplace first aid guidelines apply to any workplace, both indoors and out. Therefore employers should provide comprehensive first aid cover for forestry workers.

Arborists and tree surgeons in all situations should have access to first aid supplies at all times.
