Magnets will pick up objects made with or contain iron. This can include screws, bolts, nuts, clips, washers, and other fasteners which may be removed whilst working on a car and is imperative are not lost.

Will magnets affect my mobile phone?

Magnets can affect modern smart phones but only their internal compass which measures magnetism, in most cases, it won't affect the functionality or data. This is achieved due to the types of components being used, such as LCD or OLED screens and solid-state storage which won't be affected by normal magnets.
