All styles of label will indicate a pass or fail, with the date tested and who it was tested by. Some labels also include the date of the next test and appliance number.

When are PAT test labels used?

PAT (portable appliance testing) is a test used to show that an electrical appliance has been examined and tested. This test is important as not all electrical safety defects can be seen with visual inspection alone and requires a specialist PAT test.
